‘‘Tis beauty that doth oft make women proud’,

‘Tis said, yet we know of women once defined

With much more than this are they endowed.

In both sense and sensibility are they refined.

For a double aspect is displayed in their sense.

The pragmatic, to things get done as they must.

And fluid thinking that itself outreaches, hence

Fixed thoughts encounter with a counter-thrust.

Ah! The elegance and charm of their sensibility.

At once a lightness of touch, a depth of feeling,

Much as a woman’s heart retains its mystery,

Elevated conceptions in their poetry revealing.

Women then are the healers and the educators.

In life’s gallery of every noble thing the curators.
